Detroit-based Mango Star blends indie rock, pop, and shoegaze influences to evoke sweet, sun-soaked nostalgia on their first LP, Wasted Daydream. Introspective and sometimes irreverent lyrics, feel-good melodic hooks and vocal harmonies intertwined with distorted guitars, lush synths, and atmospheric textures have drawn comparisons to the Pixies, Jesus and Mary Chain, Best Coast, The Rentals and My Bloody Valentine.
